Tailos Rosie

A NEW DIRECTION FOR SMART VACUUMS.

With the exploding popularity of robotic vacuum cleaners, like the iRobot Roomba, Austin-based startup Tailos saw an opportunity to bring this category into hospitality. Unlike homes, hotels and similar spaces require much faster and deeper cleaning than residential robot vacuums are capable of. Tailos began work on Rosie, an automated cleaning robot tailor-made for the hospitality industry.

After creating a semi-functional prototype, Fahrenheit was enlisted to take their idea to the next level. Through ambitious deadlines and complex technical requirements, we worked with them to deliver a cohesive, pleasing and tooling-ready design.

Rosie features much more powerful suction than other small robotic vacuums, allowing it to complete a room quickly. It is further enabled by omni wheels, which it can use to move in any direction to minimize travel time. Its low profile allows it to slip easily under furniture for thorough cleaning.

Loaded with sensors, it can quickly navigate through new and changing environments, cleaning more than 1,000 square feet per hour with continuous all-day operation.
