Xavier joins us for the summer
Meet our summer intern, Xavier! Equipped with a natural curiosity about how things work, Xavier is seeking to deepen his understanding of the relationship between form and function, while growing his industrial design skills before beginning his final year at the University of Houston. Outside of the office, he enjoys sketching, reading and exploring the outdoors, where he finds inspiration for his design work.

'Tis the Season for Sushi
The team celebrated the holidays with lunch at Kura, a revolving sushi bar, and tried to see just how many plates we could finish. Afternoon productivity suffered a worthwhile blow.
Is AI coming for OUR jobs?
Probably not, but it will become extremely useful! While it can’t (yet) replace human creativity, plenty of tools are being developed that will benefit us at all stages of the design process.
Former team member and friend of Fahrenheit, Spencer Dodge, is among the most knowledgeable people on how to leverage AI in industrial design. We enlisted him to get him to get us caught up on the tools available, and we’re actively incorporating AI into our process.
Red Dot Awards 2023
Two more designs from our partnership with Biamp have been awarded Red Dots!
First is the Parlé VBC 2500, a conferencing bar boasting excellent audio and video quality. It relates aesthetically to the Parlé microphone, bearing a sophisticated look without drawing attention to itself.
Second is the visual brand language for Biamp’s line of rack-mounted digital audio processors, created to be scalable and adaptable for all future rack products.
Houston ID students tour Fahrenheit
It was a pleasure to host Industrial Design students from the University of Houston, who visited Austin during South by Southwest week. We always enjoy an opportunity to pass along a little knowledge and learn what’s on the minds of future designers.
2022 - The Year of Good Design Awards!
Three products we worked on received Good Design awards in 2022: The Biamp Vidi 250 satellite camera, the Biamp Parlé VBC 2500 conferencing bar, and The Phoenix wine purifier by PureWine.
It's always exciting to see products we're involved with make it into the hands of users, and even more exciting to see them recognized by the oldest ongoing design competition in the world.
CES 2023: What ISN'T Consumer Electronics?
One of our greatest takeaways from attending CES this year: smart tech is blurring the boundary between what is and is not “consumer electronics”. From digital companions to cookware to a 100-ton mining vehicle, leaps in machine learning are pushing the potential applications of technology to a new level.
In addition to AI-centered tech, the show floor was dominated by electric power - EVs, battery backups, car chargers. With the world starting to shift away from fossil fuels, countless new players are jostling for unclaimed territory in this space. May the best technology win!
Fahrenheit celebrates 20 years!
Fahrenheit opened its doors 20 years ago in the summer of 2002. How time flies! It's been an amazing ride, and we couldn't have done it without such great clients, employees, and partners! We are looking forward to seeing what the future holds.
Four Red Dot Awards for Biamp

Jack joins the team!
A corn-fed Hoosier with German roots, Jack spent his upbringing in Indianapolis honing his mechanical and artistic sensibilities. He attended nearby Purdue University originally for engineering, but when he discovered the school’s industrial design program, he became enamored by the idea of combining his loves of art and STEM. He made the switch, graduated with his BA in 2019, and joined the Fahrenheit team that following November. Outside of design you can find Jack playing different instruments, tasting teas and whiskeys, and fighting the urge to start new projects before finishing his current ones.
